Privacy Policy
PaarBalance.de is operated by PaarBalance GmbH, Hornstein 35, 82544 Egling, Germany.
PaarBalance© is a scientifically sound and evidence-based interactive online program. The online program supports individuals and couples in committed relationships at various stages of their relationship, helping them to live together harmoniously, lovingly, and stress-free. At the same time, PaarBalance promotes the personal development and relationship skills of each partner.
Protecting your privacy is our highest priority. Below you will find our privacy policy.
1. Why do we need your data?
To have a personal relationship profile created free of charge at PaarBalance.de or to participate in paid professional coaching, it is necessary for us to collect data. We take the protection of your personal data very seriously and treat your data with strict confidentiality. Only the information absolutely necessary to provide our services is collected.
These offers are, in detail:
- Free relationship test & creation of a personal relationship profile as well as the sending of specific information on the topic of partnership satisfaction & news about the CoupleBalance program (via email)
- Implementation of the Couple Balance program & receipt of supportive emails
The following two points are also important for the continuous improvement of the program:
- Scientific studies (usage patterns and effectiveness)
- Opportunity for clients to give feedback and suggest improvements
a) Personal data during free registration
- for the free relationship test & the creation of a personal relationship profile as well as
- for receiving specific information on the topic of partnership satisfaction & news about the CoupleBalance program (via email).
If you would like to use the PaarBalance relationship test free of charge and have a personal relationship profile created, as well as receive further information on partnership satisfaction and news about the PaarBalance program, we need an email address from you and information that allows us to verify that you are indeed the owner of the specified email address and that you agree to receive further information.
This registration is free and non-binding. You will receive a link to your email address, which will take you to the PaarBalance relationship test. Immediately before you can start with the first question, you will choose a personal password so that only you have access to the questionnaire and your relationship profile.
The relationship test will ask you several personal questions about you and your partnership:
- What is the atmosphere like between you and your partner?
- What are the prevailing customs and habits?
- What are your core beliefs about love and partnership?
Your answers to these questions will allow us to create your PaarBalance.de relationship profile and tailor the PaarBalance.de coaching to your personal situation (this personal tailoring is important if you wish to take advantage of the coaching sessions immediately afterwards or at a later date).
Our registration form includes a field for your email address as well as a field where you can indicate your gender (I am a woman / man). We ask for your gender so that we can provide you with the most specific information possible.
No further data is necessary for us and therefore none is collected. We use the collected data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not share it with third parties.
When you register as a new relationship test user/subscriber to our informational emails using the registration form, our email marketing service provider Klick-Tipp (su) stores this information from the registration form in its databases. Before we can send messages to our recipients, they must first confirm their email address using the so-called double opt-in process. Immediately after submitting the form, a confirmation email is sent to the sender. The recipient must open this email in their inbox and click on the confirmation link it contains (for PaarBalance, this is the link "To the Relationship Test"). This ensures that only those interested parties who have actually requested it receive access to the PaarBalance relationship test and further information about relationship satisfaction and PaarBalance via email.
We have concluded a data processing agreement with our email marketing service provider, Klick-Tipp (su). This ensures that our service provider adheres to all aspects of the strict requirements of German data protection law when sending our messages. Information about our recipients is stored on Klick-Tipp's high-security servers within the EU under strict security measures. Your data is not stored on servers outside the EU. Only we can view the data transmitted to us from the registration form. Third parties have no access to this information.
Every email we send using the Klick-Tipp system to recipients who have confirmed their email address contains a link at the end. By simply clicking this link, you can unsubscribe from our emails at any time, immediately.
In the event of a corresponding unsubscription, the associated time and IP address will be stored in Klick-Tipp's databases. With Klick-Tipp, unsubscriptions take effect immediately; that is, they become effective as soon as the provided link is clicked.
Please note that data transmission over the internet (e.g., when communicating via email) can have security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.
For all information we store from our visitors and clients, the following always applies: We use this information exclusively to send interesting content on the topic of relationship satisfaction, news about the CoupleBalance program, supportive messages as part of the coaching, or to scientifically review and improve the program.
b) Personal data for paid registration for
- the couple balance coaching and
- Receiving supportive emails.
Should you decide to take advantage of a paid coaching session at PaarBalance.de, we will ask for your first and last name and your email address.
For the payment process, you will be redirected directly to our payment partner Digistore24, where your data will be used according to the strictest security criteria solely for the smooth processing of your payment. For more detailed information, please see the links 'Privacy Policy' and 'Terms and Conditions' at www.digistore24.com.
As part of the Couple Balance training, some exercises include further questions about you and your relationship to help you deepen your understanding and apply it to your personal situation. Your data is securely stored on a certified German server and will not be shared with third parties. Only you can decide whether you wish to share selected content with your partner or a therapist. You will be asked for your consent separately in each case. Your consent will be recorded. Only then can you send summaries as a PDF document attached to an email.
We want to support you in staying on track during your Couple Balance coaching. Therefore, we will send you messages to the email address you provided between coaching sessions. We use our email service provider Klick-Tipp (su) for this personalized email service.
Every email we send using the Klick-Tipp system contains a link at the end. You can unsubscribe from our messages at any time by simply clicking this link.
In the event of a corresponding unsubscription, the associated time and IP address will be stored in Klick-Tipp's databases. With Klick-Tipp, unsubscriptions take effect immediately; that is, they become effective as soon as the provided link is clicked.
c) Anonymized data for scientific research (usage patterns and program effectiveness)
The CoupleBalance coaching program is scientifically based, meaning its content is grounded in scientifically validated interventions and draws on over 50 years of relationship research. The CoupleBalance relationship test, which precedes the program, was also developed according to scientific criteria.
To evaluate the effectiveness of such a measurement tool in relation to program usage and to improve program content, it is necessary to gain precise insights into the conditions under which clients benefit most from the program's ability to improve their relationship quality. Therefore, accompanying scientific studies are being conducted in cooperation with universities and research institutes.
Data from PaarBalance users is completely anonymized and encrypted during scientific analysis, ensuring that no conclusions can be drawn about individual persons. Information provided by individuals cannot be traced back to them at any time. Email addresses, names, or other personal data will never be shared with unauthorized parties.
d) Personal data for feedback and suggestions for improvement
To tailor the CoupleBalance program as precisely as possible to the needs of its users and to ensure the best possible program flow, we are very interested in feedback and suggestions for improvement from clients. Therefore, every CoupleBalance user who cancels their paid subscription will receive an email (to the email address they used for the coaching) requesting their feedback.
Termination of the paid contract
If you are unable to complete all 18 coaching sessions within your initial booking period, you have the option to extend the usage period for a fee. Breaks are also possible, meaning the program does not have to continue seamlessly but can be resumed after an interruption. Therefore, your customer data and previously provided information will not be automatically deleted.
If you wish to have your user data and all information you have provided within the framework of the coaching program irrevocably deleted, it is sufficient that you
- Send an email to [email protected].
- Please provide your first and last name as well as the email address you used to register for the CoupleBalance coaching.
- Write in the subject line: 'Please delete my PaarBalance account.'
All your data will then be deleted as quickly as possible.
Please note that this process cannot be reversed, so you would have to start the coaching program from the beginning if you wish to rejoin online sessions at a later date.
Revocation of consent and information about stored personal data
You can withdraw your consent to the storage of your personal data at any time. You can send us an email to: [email protected] or contact us in writing at: PaarBalance GmbH, Hornstein 35, 82544 Egling.
You have the right to access, correct, delete, or block your stored personal data at any time. To do so, please send us a copy of your identity card for verification purposes. Please redact all fields except: first name, last name, address, and validity period. Please send your request by mail. After your identity has been verified, you will receive the result of your request immediately.

ProvenExpert
We have integrated ProvenExpert rating seals on this website.
The provider is Expert Systems AG, Quedlinburger Str. 1, 10589 Berlin, www.provenexpert.com .
The ProvenExpert seal allows us to display customer reviews submitted to ProvenExpert about our company on our website as a seal. ProvenExpert also uses your language settings to display the seal in your chosen language.

If consent has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) of the German Telecommunications and Telemedia Data Protection Act (TTDSG), insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user's device (e.g., device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
5. Analytics Tools and Advertising
Google Analytics
IP Anonymization:
We have activated the IP anonymization function on this website. This means that your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before being transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.
Browser Plugin:
You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser settings; however, please note that in this case you may not be able to fully utilize all the functions of this website. Furthermore, you can prevent Google from collecting and processing data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de .
Objection to data collection:
You can prevent the collection of your data by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set, which prevents the collection of your data on future visits to this website:
For more information on how Google Analytics handles user data, please see Google's privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de .
Data processing agreement:
We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.
Demographic characteristics in Google Analytics:
This website uses the "demographic characteristics" feature of Google Analytics. This allows reports to be generated that contain information about the age, gender, and interests of website visitors. This data comes from Google's interest-based advertising and from third-party visitor data. This data cannot be attributed to any specific person. You can deactivate this feature at any time via the ad settings in your Google account or generally prohibit the collection of your data by Google Analytics as described in the section "Objection to data collection."
Google Analytics Remarketing
Our websites use the features of Google Analytics Remarketing in conjunction with the cross-device functions of Google AdWords and Google DoubleClick. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
This feature allows you to link advertising audiences created with Google Analytics Remarketing to the cross-device features of Google AdWords and Google DoubleClick. This way, interest-based, personalized advertising messages, tailored to you based on your previous usage and browsing behavior on one device (e.g., mobile phone), can also be displayed on another of your devices (e.g., tablet or PC).
If you have given your consent, Google will link your web and app browsing history to your Google account for this purpose. This allows the same personalized advertising messages to be displayed on any device where you sign in with your Google account.
To support this function, Google Analytics collects Google-authenticated user IDs, which are temporarily linked to our Google Analytics data to define and create audiences for cross-device advertising.
You can permanently opt out of cross-device remarketing/targeting by disabling personalized advertising in your Google account; follow this link: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/
The aggregation of collected data in your Google account is based solely on your consent, which you can grant or withdraw at Google (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). For data collection processes that are not aggregated in your Google account (e.g., because you do not have a Google account or have objected to aggregation), the data collection is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The legitimate interest arises from the fact that the website operator has an interest in the anonymized analysis of website visitors for advertising purposes.
Further information and the data protection regulations can be found in Google's privacy policy at: https://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/ .
Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking
This website uses Google AdWords. AdWords is an online advertising program of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (“Google”).
We use conversion tracking as part of Google AdWords. When you click on an ad placed by Google, a conversion tracking cookie is set. Cookies are small text files that your internet browser stores on your computer. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used to personally identify users. If you visit certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that you clicked on the ad and were redirected to this page.
Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. These cookies cannot be tracked across the websites of different AdWords customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted in to conversion tracking. Customers see the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can personally identify users. If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can easily disable the Google conversion tracking cookie in your browser's user settings. You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.
The storage of “conversion cookies” is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize both its website and its advertising.
For more information about Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking, please see Google's privacy policy: https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/ .
You can configure your browser to notify you when cookies are set and to allow cookies only in individual cases, to accept cookies in certain cases or to generally reject them, and to automatically delete cookies when you close your browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.
Facebook Pixel
Our website uses the visitor action pixel from Facebook, Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”) for conversion tracking.
This allows us to track the behavior of website visitors after they have been redirected to our website by clicking on a Facebook ad. This enables us to evaluate the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes and to optimize future advertising campaigns.
The data collected is anonymous for us as the operator of this website; we cannot draw any conclusions about the identity of the users. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook, so a connection to the respective user profile is possible, and Facebook can use the data for its own advertising purposes in accordance with the Facebook Data Policy. This allows Facebook to display ads on Facebook pages as well as on websites outside of Facebook. We, as the website operator, have no influence over this use of data.
You can find further information on protecting your privacy in Facebook's data policy: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.
You can also deactivate the "Custom Audiences" remarketing feature in the ad settings at https://www.facebook.com/ads/preferences/?entry_product=ad_settings_screen. You must be logged in to Facebook to do this.
If you do not have a Facebook account, you can deactivate Facebook's interest-based advertising on the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance website: http://www.youronlinechoices.com/de/praferenzmanagement/.

No further data is collected, or only on a voluntary basis. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not share it with third parties.
The processing of the data entered in the newsletter registration form is based solely on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). Click tip
This website uses Klick-Tipp for sending newsletters. The provider is KLICK-TIPP LIMITED, 15 Cambridge Court, 210 Shepherd's Bush Road, London W6 7NJ, United Kingdom.
Klick-Tipp is a service that, among other things, allows you to organize and analyze the sending of newsletters. The data you enter for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter is stored on Klick-Tipp's servers.
Data analysis via Klick-Tipp:
When we send newsletters using Klick-Tipp, we can determine whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links, if any, have been clicked.
Klick-Tipp also allows us to segment newsletter recipients based on various categories (so-called tagging). For example, recipients can be segmented by gender, personal preferences (e.g., vegetarian or non-vegetarian), or customer relationship (e.g., customer or potential customer). This allows us to better tailor newsletters to specific target groups. Further information is available at: https://www.klick-tipp.com and https://www.klick-tipp.com/handbuch .
If you do not want your data analyzed by Klick-Tipp, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. We provide a corresponding link for this purpose in every newsletter email. You can also unsubscribe directly on the website.
Legal basis:
Data processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can withdraw this consent at any time. The lawfulness of data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the withdrawal.
Data Retention Period:
The data you provide to us for the purpose of subscribing to our newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe. After you unsubscribe, the data will be deleted from both our servers and the servers of Klick-Tipp. Data stored for other purposes (e.g., email addresses for the members' area) will remain unaffected.
For more information, please see Klick-Tipp's privacy policy at: https://www.klick-tipp.com/datenschutzerklaerung .
Conclusion of a data processing agreement
